We went to the Agricultural Fair on Martha's vineyard, and heard some people talking while looking at Pellet woodstoves : Yes Burning wood even in its most efficient form for heating generates CO2 emissions but Wood and Specially Wood Pellets are renewable!, in a human lifetime wood can renew and absorb as much CO2 as it will later emit when burned....That is why Wood Heating is CO2 neutral. In comparison it takes millions of years to form an oil field....In a certain way it is renewable too....but we consumed in 200 years of industrial age what the Earth produced in millions of years....
