A few months ago some people whose House my Friends are caretakers wanted to get an internet Connection faster than DIAL-UP as their house is too far away from the road for DSL, so after some research we found that satelite bi-directionnal internet High Speed Connection from Wildblue....
It took a few weeks to get the installers to come to the island but finally it came to work. We sent an Email and surfed a bit from that remote place and were quite happy to hook up that so lonely house to the High Speed Highway of the Internet!
Unfortunately after some time some renters who needed the connection for work called us and told us that the connection was dead...we called Wildblue and asked to get it fixed....after weeks of discussion and more than 30 phone calls some "technician" supervisor told us that there was a POTENTIAL NETWORK OUTAGE going on !!!!!!.
After Almost 40 days of phone war we were quite sure that it was more than POTENTIAL !
Lately as we call again and really think about stopping payments for a service that doesn't work they told us that some service call is made but that it will take a month to get the parts!
What I suspect is that this service is just not available anymore in our region and that they just give us all kind of reasons to make us wait....I hope to be wrong but I have been in the internet business since the start and things like that happened before....Of Course if there is any kind of positive evolution i'll let you know!
